Mercè Mora grew up in the village of
La Garriga (Barcelona), in the middle of green spaces that enriched her creativeness and love for animals and nature. Her artistic side was manifested
in early childhood through drawing and other visual arts, that became since
then a real passion.

Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Arts by the University of Barcelona, she omplemented her education with various trainings and courses related to photography, sculpture and graphic design.

In her work she uses various techniques according to her objective; water-colors, acrylic, gouache, airbrush, ink, pencil, wax and oil among others. She also uses digital processes to carry out or complete her works.

Her style ─versatile and full of color─ combines certain childlike spontaneity with an acquired technique during years of profession. She tries to add a message
to her creations which complements her aesthetic value.

Mercè has worked in a wide variety of styles and supports. Her Works have been published in several countries.

Her customers include amongst others, Disney, Fisher-Price, Egmont Books, Hachette, Horizont, Scholastics, Golden Books, Random House, Gaviota and Disney Press (working for agencies like S.I. Artists and Comicon). She has also worked for Planeta and others national and foreign publishing companies (through Iboix Estudi). She has done designs for firms like Inoxcrom, and has participated in several animated spots
for NBA and Nike (through Booker productions).

At the moment she works as a freelance in several illustration projects, design and photography. She lives in Granollers, where she has her studio. When she is not working, she likes traveling, playing with pets and being in good company.
